Ron Ramsey is Executive Director of the Art Gallery Society of NSW and with over three decades working at the most prestigious galleries in Australia. Ron Ramsey was previously at the National Gallery of Victoria, spent 14 years at the National Gallery of Australia and 7 years as Director of the Newcastle Art Gallery from 2007 to 2014. Ron was Australia’s Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of Australia in Washington DC from 2004 to 2007 and judged the Stanthorpe Art Festival in 2016.
Dr Kyla McFarlane is the Curator of Academic Programs (Research): The Ian Potter Museum of Art. She has previously worked both independently and held key curatorial positions at the Australian Art at Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane, The Centre for Contemporary Photography, Melbourne (CCP) and Monash University Museum of Art, Melbourne. Originally from Auckland, New Zealand, Kyla has written and curated extensively on visual art in Australasia. She holds a PhD in visual culture from Monash University. In 2014 she was an Asialink Arts resident in Singapore. Recent curatorial projects include APT8 at QAGOMA, NEW14 at ACCA, Melbourne; The Sievers Project, 2014 at CCP; True Self: David Rosetzky – Selected Works 2013 at CCP; and A Different Temporality: Aspects of Australian Feminist Art Practice, 2011 at Monash University Museum of Art, Melbourne. Kyla judged the Stanthorpe Art Festival in 2016.
